Kurt Bush really picked up where he left off.
The Quaker State 400 had raced in Atlanta from 1960 to 2010 before being moved to Kentucky. In the last two Quaker State 400 races before the switch, Bush won in 2009 and 2010, succeeding his brother, Kyle Bush, who won the race in 2008.
When racing returned to Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2021, Kurt Busch was at it again, winning the race for the third time to tie him up with Fred Lorenzen and Bobby Allison for Atlanta’s third-biggest race wins, trailing only Cal Yarborough (six) and Dale Earnhardt (five).
On Sunday, Kurt Bosch will be racing to overtake Lorenzen and Allison and move up to third on the all-time winning list in the race.
