2022 NASCAR Brickyard Race picks, odds, starting lineup, predictions from the legendary Vegas expert

Chase Elliott received a gift last weekend when he finished third but took home his fourth leading win in the NASCAR Cup Series of the season after Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch were disqualified for failing a post-race check. It was the leading 15th in this year’s top-ten series for Elliott and left him just one win away from his career highs he scored during the 2020 championship season. The 26-year-old will try to match the mark when he takes part in the 2022 Verizon 200 at Brickyard Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. NASCAR 2022 start time in Indianapolis is 2:30 PM ET.

Elliott is the favorite 7-2 in the 2022 Verizon 200 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Series holder Kyle Larson is 11-2, Ross Chastain is 15-2 and Tyler Riddick is 10-1, while Austin Cendrick and Daniel Suarez edge out the best 2022 NASCAR contenders in Indianapolis 12-1. Roberts, a former Vegas bookmaker, was the first to introduce NASCAR extended betting, and now he’s handing out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine. Roberts is the number one NASCAR bookmaker in the country, and his top pick, Elliot, won the Jockey Made in America 250 last season.

He also correctly predicted the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner, netting Larson’s win by 11-2, and was on the verge of targeting Elliott as the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix winner by 8-5 the previous week. Additionally, Roberts installed the GEICO 500 last year when he predicted Brad Keselowski would win by 14-1. Anyone who followed their choices cashed tickets.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for NASCAR on Sunday at the 2022 Indianapolis race. It only shares the winner and leaderboard in SportsLine.

2022 NASCAR in Indianapolis Experts’ Picks

One shock: Roberts is low on Larson, even though he’s one of the top 2022 Verizon 200 contenders. In fact, Roberts says Larson, who finished third in that race last season, didn’t break into the top five.

“He still has only one win this year,” Roberts told SportsLine. “He finished third in Road America, but the big lead he had in 2021 is over.”

Another curve ball: Roberts is high on Kevin Harvick, even though he’s a 30-1 long shot in the latest 2022 NASCAR on Brickyard odds. The 46-year-old ranks second among active drivers with 58 career cup series wins, but he hasn’t picked up a checkered flag since September 19, 2020 in Bristol. Harvick has enjoyed success in the series’ road courses, however, with two wins, 11 in the top five, and 26 in the top 10 in 52 starts.

“He’s twice won the road courses,” Roberts told SportsLine. “He’s been pretty good on the roads so far (this season), starting with 11th at COTA, then 4th at Sonoma and 10th at Road America.” See who chooses here.

How the 2022 Verizon 200 forecast works

Roberts is the best at long-range shot “in desperation to make the playoffs.” This driver is underestimated by the expectation makers, and anyone who supports him can hit him hard. You can only see who’s here.
